Will you discover the truth?

  Description

Scales of Sorrow is a Boss Rush style RPG game where the player goes from boss to boss, expanding from their basic attacks with new special support abilities gained after each encounter is completed. Fight by not fighting and help calm down the enraged dragons to discover why they are lashing out.

  Gameplay

Calm down the enraged dragons while avoiding their mighty attacks, cooperate with a friend as you team up to become more effective. Listen and reach out to assist the dragons. Use special abilities like a bubble shield and dash forward to protect yourself and avoid incoming attacks.

Abertay Game Lab

We are a practice-based research group comprised of staff from the Faculty of Design, Informatics and Business at Abertay University. Our aim is to develop experimental games, applied games, and games-related cultural and public engagement events.

In addition to working with standard game development software, equipment, and materials, we also have a dedicated lab within Abertay’s Emergent Technology Centre.

If you are a business, public sector, or third sector organisation interested in exploring what games and play can do for you, please contact business@abertay.ac.uk.
